Simon Hunt

Simon is the joint Course Leader for Music Production and a lecturer in Computer Music Design and Post Production at BIMM Institute Bristol. He holds a Masters in Creative Sound and Media Technology - passed with distinction. Simon has exhibited several interactive sound pieces and continues to explore the relationship between interactivity and sound.

Prior to this Simon worked as a lead sound designer and composer for the BBC. His work was regularly used for the BBC's publishing output across the Doctor Who and Torchwood brands at national and international level.

Simon’s own creative practice explores post bass and rave culture alongside DIY instrument building utilising both custom-designed software and hardware.
