English language requirements
BIMM Institute requires that your English Language capability is of a level that will enable you to succeed in your chosen course of study.
All applicants are required to demonstrate their ability to understand and express themselves in both written and spoken English. We accept a wide range of country-specific English language qualifications, please see your country on our International Entry Requirements page. We also accept a number of English language tests based on the following minimum standards.

FE Applicants who require a Visa under the Student route will require to submit a Secure English Language Test (SELT) to meet the English language requirements as part of their visa application.
Please ensure you complete one of the following English tests:
- IELTS for UKVI with an overall score of 5.5 and a minimum of 5.5 in each band
- LanguageCert International ESOL SELT B2 (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) with a Pass overall and a minimum score of 25 on each skill – please contact Admissions for an exclusive discount on test fees
- Pearson PTE Academic UKVI with a score of 42 overall, including at least 42 in all four skills
