Have you graduated from BIMM? We’re still here to help and support you.
By keeping in touch with BIMM when you graduate, we can continue to support you with resources and support. We’ll carry on offering tailored CV advice, masterclasses and career guidance.
Our dedicated Alumni Team is available to help you navigate your career path and build your professional network. For more information about the services outlined below, or just to let us know what you have been up to, email [email protected].
What services do we offer?
You can contact us at any time for advice, guidance or consultation. No matter how long ago you left BIMM, we’re still here to help you.
Either use the alumni email address above or message our Alumni Services Manager, Anthony Giles, via his profile on BIMM Connect. Anthony can arrange an initial discussion to help determine how BIMM can actively support you, whether it be CV or career advice, signposting resources, connecting you with staff, lecturers or fellow alumni, and more!.
BIMM Connect is our dedicated online community platform for students, graduates, and staff at all BIMM colleges – including our partner colleges for film and the performing arts – making it the perfect space to connect with other creatives.
The site features jobs, resources, events, contact with fellow alumni and staff/faculty for advice, plus an exclusive alumni group with extra content. On the first Monday of each month, we send out the alumni monthly newsletter to all members of the BIMM Connect Alumni Group, featuring highlighted jobs, events, graduate projects and businesses, pro-tips, and other features.
You can collaborate on new and exciting projects, create groups and events, find jobs and opportunities, list your skill or business – and more! Visit BIMM Connect.
As you will know, our masterclasses are what makes BIMM so unique. We provide alumni with limited access to selected masterclasses in real time. And for those who can’t attend live sessions – either in person or online – you’ll find recordings available to re-watch on Panopto, via BIMM Connect resources.
WRKiT is BIMM’s annual careers event that puts students and graduates in front of top music industry recruiters. As a graduate, these careers fairs are an invaluable route to kick-starting your career, making the right contacts and coming face-to-face with the best-known companies and brands in the music sector.
These industry-leading events are held in both Manchester and London, bringing together industry brands, record labels, publishers, media, management and more. Companies that attended the 2022 WRKiT events included Spotify, Sony Music, The Great Escape Festival, CAA, Manchester International Festival, Communion, Hospital Records, DIY Magazine, Atlantic Records, Warner Music and publishers included Kobalt, Sentric and Sony Music Publishing.
