Sarah Jay Hawley

Vocal Lecturer

Sarah Jay has been a professional singer/songwriter for more than thirty years. And a vocal/performance coach for over twenty years. Her voice and songs have been heard by millions, notably on Massive Attacks’ Platinum-selling album Mezzanine.

Her sultry ‘Dissolved Girl’ tones woke Keanu Reeves at the beginning of ‘The Matrix’ and serenaded Bruce Willis in ‘The Day Of The Jackal’. She wrote and sang the theme song for Michael Winterbottom’s ‘Welcome To Sarajevo’ and was recently remixed for the hit TV show ‘Westworld’- to name but a few of her credits.

She has performed extensively at many international festivals – including Glastonbury’s Pyramid stage. She has been a session singer/songwriter on over eighty releases in many styles and genres.

Sarah Jay brings all her passion, expertise and experience of being a professional musician into her role as a vocal/performance coach for singers and songwriters at BIMM.
