BIMM Partners with Adam Audio
BIMM Institute Brighton is incredibly pleased to announce its official partnership with studio monitor company ADAM Audio. They’ve recently installed a broad range of brand-new equipment throughout the college, including a 5.1 surround sound system within our primary audio mixing suite.
A complete upgrade for Music Production students
This news is of huge benefit to the college’s Music Production students, who’ll now experience professional-level high fidelity sound via ADAM Audio’s flagship S3H, A7X and sub 10MK2 studio monitor speakers when mixing their tracks in the newly renamed ‘ADAM Audio Mix Suite’.
On top of this, the company also installed a range of top quality speakers throughout the college’s facilities including our Mac Labs, Common Room and reception area.
Martin Wright, College Principal for BIMM Institute Brighton, said, “This is an exciting partnership with ADAM Audio and continues our traditions of placing the highest industry standard equipment in front of our students to support their learning.”
Introducing the ADAM Audio Scholarship
In addition, the Berlin-based tech company have awarded one lucky Music Production student with a pair of their flagship S2V Nearfield studio monitors (worth £2999) as part of the newly launched ADAM Audio Scholarship.
The winner of this award was recently announced as BA2 undergraduate Matthew Flood, who also received an official scholarship certificate along with ongoing support from the company through a series of exclusive workshops and networking events throughout the next year.
To be considered for this incredible scholarship award, current Music Production students at BIMM Institute Brighton were judged on:
- One track of their own creation (written, recorded, produced and mixed independently)
- A personal statement detailing their journey into music production, including current releases/credits, social media links and details of how the scholarship will benefit their music production career.
- Attendance and overall engagement with their course at BIMM Institute
- Extra-curricular activities
“I’m absolutely ecstatic” Matt was incredibly pleased to hear he was the recipient of the scholarship, saying, “With so many talented individuals at BIMM who would be applying, I knew my chances were very slim. That’s why I am absolutely ecstatic that I have been chosen for this programme. I’m especially excited to have the opportunity to travel so Synchron Studios in Vienna, where myself and nine others will be working on a few original tracks, as well as networking and attending a three-day mixing Masterclass.”
With two brand-new Music Production degrees on offer for aspiring students, BIMM Institute’s partnership with ADAM Audio was a natural fit, as Kevin Bent, UK Sales and Academic Project Manager for the company, explained, “When we were looking into potential partners for our Academic Programme, BIMM Institute – with its top-notch engineering, production and business classes – was among one of the first names that came to our mind.”
He continued, “I think we have created something special here. The scholarship was established to give back to the community and help dedicated students to get to the next level of their careers. Maybe we can open a few doors and offer a networking platform that will help the scholars to thrive in this field of work.”
Matt Hodson, Music Production Course Leader at BIMM Institute Brighton, was equally thrilled with the college’s new partnership, saying:
“We are delighted to work so closely with ADAM Audio, who for many years have been, THE go-to professionals for advanced engineering and innovation in studio monitor design. We are now bringing that expertise to the next generation of music producers, with all of our dedicated Mac Suites and on-site studio spaces providing the best in critical listening.“
In-House ADAM Audio Events
Throughout this academic year, BIMM Institute Brighton will also be hosting special ADAM Audio events. These will be open to all students, putting them in touch with various artists, producers and composers in a meaningful way, as they gain first-hand insight into industry-standard workflow and production techniques.
We look forward to seeing what exciting guests ADAM Audio have in store for us, as well as watching Matt Flood’s relationship with the company grow during his scholarship.
