BIMM artists to perform at Victorious Festival

Victorious Festival takes place for its eighth year on the sunny coast of Southsea from August 24th-26th. A host of BIMM students are set to perform on our very own stage, as well as assisting behind the scenes in various event management roles.

The event will see 120,000+ festival goers descend upon Southsea Common for three days of sun-kissed, music-filled fun by the sea, making it one of the largest metropolitan music festivals in the UK.

As part of BIMM’s annual festival outreach program, a selection of BIMM artists will be performing across the weekend, joining an incredible line-up featuring the likes of James Bay, Rudimental, Lewis Capaldi, Two Door Cinema Club, Clean Bandit, The Hives, New Order, The Specials and Bloc Party.

The festival grounds will feature an array of live performance stages and themed areas including a circus, comedy tent, kids’ zone and skate park, but it’s the World Music Village which will be at the centre of BIMM’s activities throughout the weekend.

The stage – which is presented by BIMM and Portsmouth-based charity Arms Around The Child – will showcase an extensive line-up of talent across the area’s main stage, plus an intimate acoustic performance area known as ‘The People’s Lounge’.

BIMM artists to keep an eye out for throughout the event include:

Libra Libra

Dakka Skanks

Plus appearances from Alfie Neal, All Faces, Caleb Harris, Celine Love, Chloe Bodur, Eve Singleton, Faye Houston, Ivy, Karim, La Lune, Lauren O’Mahoney, Lisa Nora, Loria Boban, Megan Lara Mae, MIMAH, Stay Hungry, Tascha Jerawan, The Tin Pigeons and Tilda Allie.

With such an eclectically varied line-up of artists, Victorious 2019 looks set to be a highlight of the UK festival scene for people of all ages. BIMM is extremely proud to be involved with the event once again and we look forward to seeing our students and alumni gaining valuable exposure and experience at the event.
