Rebecca Pickles
Course Leader, Events
Rebecca is Course Leader for Event Management at BIMM Institute Manchester. She was one-third of girl group, The Pipettes. Together they notched up two Top 40 UK hits, a Billboard Top 5 and a Top 10 in Japan. She’s toured extensively worldwide and has played numerous festivals, including the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury and the main stage at Reading/Leeds.
Rebecca has worked as a venue and event manager at music venues in both Brighton and Manchester (including The Hope, Ruby Lounge and winning ‘Manchester Evening News’, ‘Best Newcomer’ and ‘Best Manchester Club’ awards for live music and club space in 2012 and 2013 respectively whilst managing Soup Kitchen).
She has since made the move to outdoor events, currently spending her summers working on arts and music festivals around the UK. As a vocalist, she has recorded and toured with Jessica Hoop and Dr Syntax, and still performs live with new project See Thru Hands.
