BIMM Institute partners with India’s Global Music Institute
We are delighted to announce a new partnership with Global Music Institute (GMI) in India.
GMI is India’s leading contemporary music institute, specialising in holistic learning to develop well-rounded students across traditional Hindustani, western classical, and world music. The institute was founded in 2011 with a mission to bring a distinctive and modern approach to music education in India. Much like BIMM, GMI has a diverse international faculty and state-of-the-art facilities.
After we visited the campus last year, we could see similarities between our two institutions. We can draw comparisons between GMI’s Artist Diploma and the first year of our degree programmes, creating a clear pathway for GMI students to BIMM.
This new partnership allows GMI students to join the second year of our degree courses in performance, production and songwriting, enabling them to continue their studies to earn an internationally recognised British degree from BIMM University whilst gaining valuable networking and internship opportunities.
We’re sure that the new partnership will benefit both BIMM and GMI students through knowledge and cultural exchanges.
BIMM’s CEO and Vice-Chancellor David Jones Owen added:
“We are very proud of this new partnership. International students bring so many benefits to BIMM, enriching the classroom experience for all students and opening our minds to new musical styles and influences. GMI has an outstanding reputation and portfolio of courses. We are very excited to see their students join us to take full advantage of the opportunities BIMM can offer.”
