BIMM Berlin Student to Tour with Adam Lambert
Nineteen year old BIMM Berlin Vocals student, Lisa Koegler, has earned herself the opportunity of a lifetime as her band Eveline has been chosen to support Adam Lambert on his upcoming German tour.
Eveline are a Berlin duo comprised of Lisa and her musical partner Jan Eric Markert, who’ve been performing together since October 2013. They write and perform indie, pop and electro music with instruments including guitar, bass, drums and saxophone.
The opportunity to support the Queen vocalist and 2009 American Idol runner-up came about through a recommendation by Trinity Music, the band’s booking agency in Berlin. Initially they were asked to play at the Berlin show only, but Adam Lambert’s management really liked them, and they were subsequently asked to perform at all three of Adam’s German tour dates.
Lisa says she has mixed emotions about supporting such a huge star:
“Of course we’re very excited… but a bit nervous too! It’s a huge chance for us because a lot of people will hear us and see us play. Hopefully we can get them excited about Eveline and they’ll visit our future shows and keep an eye on what we’re up to. Most importantly, we want them to have fun at our show.”
In the past the band have played support gigs for many successful musicians, including US indie pop band MisterWives, Australian singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian and London rapper Itch, at a range of celebrated venues across Berlin, such as Lido, Musik & Frieden and the Crystal Club. They’ve also played the East Side Music Days and Summertime festivals, released their latest single and music video ‘Jealousy’ in 2018, and have received airplay on Radio Fritz.
Berlin native Lisa has had a lifelong love of music and dance, but has only been singing for the last five years. She plays both piano and guitar, has performed as a singer and actress in a rock opera, and currently also sings with a jazz orchestra.
2016 looks set to be a huge year for Lisa and Eveline, with more gigs, some festival appearances, songwriting sessions and a debut EP on the horizon. Here at BIMM, we can’t wait to hear more of their music, and we know Adam Lambert fans are going to love them too!
