Jon Harper
Course Leader, Music Business
Jon Harper is the Course Leader for Music Business at BIMM Music Institute Bristol. He is a founding member of the band The Cooper Temple Clause, and has also been the live drummer for Brazilian pop band CSS.
He has over 12 years’ experience working extensively with both major and independent recording companies, including Sub Pop, Warner Music and Sony/BMG, and has recorded over 70 published songs through Chrysalis Music Publishing, released three major label albums, and achieved six UK Top 40 singles and a No.5 in the UK album charts.
Jon has toured the world and supported artists such as The Cure, Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, Queens of the Stone Age, The Pretenders, N.E.R.D, Muse and Gnarls Barkley. His TV credits include Top of the Pops, CD:UK, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, From The Basement with Nigel Godrich, The Culture Show, MTV, Channel 4 and Last Call with Carson Daly.
