John Gallen teaches Music Production at BIMM. He has over 40 years of experience in sound recording, production, artist management, live broadcast, mixing for film and composition and16 years of experience of teaching music production at degree level.

Recording artists he has worked with include Queen, Uriah Heep, Osibisa, Billy Ocean, Haircut 100, Motorhead, Gene Pitney, Manfred Mann, Mike Gibbs, Colloseum, Marianne Faithful and Sally Oldfield. Ian Shaw, Ralph Salmins, Hamish Stuart, Pino Paladino, Dave O’Higgins, Gordon Haskell, Kyle Eastwood, 12 Stone Toddler and Captain Phoenix, Alex Parks and Alistair Griffin for Fame Academy, Meja Beckman for Sony Music, Go West and Tony Hadley, Claire Martin, Gordon Haskill, Kuljit Bamra, Gota Yashiki, The Beijing Symphony Orchestra and State Opera,Simply Red, George Benson, Go West, Maxi Priest, Aswad, Rick Astley, Boy George, Incognito and The Damned.
