BIMM Birmingham at Truck Festival 2026

20 August, 2026

BIMM Birmingham students and alumni returned to Hill Farm this summer for another weekend at Truck Festival.

Taking place from 23–26 July in Steventon, Oxfordshire, Truck hosted an amazing line-up including CMAT, The Maccabees, Two Door Cinema Club, and The Wombats, with BIMM students joining them across the weekend.

Among those performing was BIMM Birmingham student Daisy Peacock, who played on the This Feeling stage. Daisy has made the most of performance opportunities throughout her time at BIMM, including playing at The Great Escape festival in May, and Truck gave her another opportunity to bring her music to a major festival audience.

For BIMM Birmingham alumni Eighty Eight Miles, this year marked an important milestone. Having performed at Truck every year since 2022 on the festival’s smaller stages, the band returned this year to perform on the Main Stage, showing how opportunities like Truck can help artists progress.

Truck isn’t only an opportunity for BIMM artists to perform. Every year, students also gain experience working behind the scenes at the festival, building contacts, and developing the practical skills required to work in live music.

For Music Business graduate Chris Beswick, that experience has developed into an ongoing career in the industry. After making the most of opportunities during his time at BIMM, Chris has continued working within live music and artist management, showing how festival experience can help students move into professional roles in the music industry.

Our ongoing work with Truck Festival gives BIMM students the chance to gain real-world experience at one of the UK’s leading festivals, whether that’s performing on stage, working behind the scenes, or building connections across the industry. It’s an opportunity to put what they learn at BIMM into practice and take meaningful steps towards a career in music.

Congratulations to everyone from the BIMM community who performed, worked, and got involved at Truck Festival 2026.
