David Deacon
Course Leader, MA
David is Postgraduate Course Leader for MA Popular Music Practice at our BIMM Music Institute London campus. He is an interdisciplinary researcher and has been working with BIMM University since 2015, and taught on various academic modules focusing on research, popular music studies, music history and cultural studies. He received his PhD in 2018 from University College Dublin which focused on North American literature and post 9/11 culture. David also maintains interests in popular music studies and entertainment law. His work has been published with Penn State University Press, the European Journal of American Studies, and Louisiana State University Press among many others.
