BIMM London Music Journalism Graduate (now known as Music Marketing, Media & Communication) Charlie Hall is the venue manager for London’s The Lower Third
Charlie Hall graduated in 2020, having studied what is now our BA (Hons) in Music Marketing, Media & Communication course. Once they had finished their degree, they continued studying. They completed a Postgraduate degree, achieving a Masters in International Business and Management specialising in the music industry, graduating from UCA Epsom with a distinction.
Charlie’s passion for writing started with their blog Red Skye in which they interviewed artists such as Viola Beach and GIRLI. Charlie has been a keen advocate for more women in the venue management sector which formed the basis of their dissertation during their final year at BIMM London. Currently an assistant manager at The Leather Bottle, they have worked across the live music industry supervising at venues such as Electric Brixton, Smash Wimbledon, Le Fez.

“I came to BIMM with a small blog, a few interviews behind my back and a need for meeting people who shared my great taste in music and love for the industry. I left three years later with more journalistic skills and network connections than I could dream of. After going on to complete a masters degree in international business and management, specailisng in the music industry, I’m now building the foundations to open my own venue.”
