Sounds of Success: April 2025
Everything we do at BIMM Music Institute is designed to prepare our students for the music industry. We ensure that by the time they graduate, they have the skills, connections, and industry know-how to launch successful careers.
Sounds of Success highlights BIMM students and alumni who are currently making waves. From being recognised by Forbes to supporting the biggest stars, April has been an exciting month in the BIMM community.
Inaki Concepcion recognised at the MPG Awards
Inaki, who studied Popular Music Performance and Music Production at BIMM London, was recognised at this year’s Music Producers Guild (MPG) Awards. Inaki was longlisted for the Breakthrough Producer of the Year award for Tasia’s latest EP, Lost Poetry.
The MPG is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to support members in their careers, campaign for the rights of music professionals, promote diversity, and celebrate each other’s achievements.
On Instagram, Inaki wrote, “An amazing honour just to be considered for this award. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to every single person involved in the last year of creating music and stories.”
Napsugár Bardócz makes Forbes’ ‘30 Under 30’ list
We’re so proud of Napsugár, who was recently featured in Forbes Hungary’s 2025 ‘30 Under 30’ list, which highlights the country’s most successful and inspiring young talents under the age of 30.
After graduating from BIMM Brighton in 2018, Napsugár managed the main stage at Sziget Festival in Budapest, which has seen performances from massive artists like Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish, and Florence + The Machine.
The Events Management grad is now a full-time Artist Manager at Made Management, managing artists such as Sigrid, PUNCHBAG, Cate, Bluegirl, Askjell and Darcy Toyn.
Megan Wyn will support Alanis Morissette in Cardiff
On 2 July 2025, Music Business graduate Megan Wyn will support Alanis Morissette for her show in Cardiff. The gig was originally supposed to be held at Cardiff Castle but has now moved to Blackweir Fields due to the huge demand for tickets.
Last month, Megan was even featured in a BBC article, where she stated that her band, which is comprised of BIMM Manchester students, is “just going to put on the best show we can.
BIMM Bristol grads, My First Time, release a new single
Fast-rising post-pop punks and BIMM Bristol graduates My First Time have just dropped their new single ‘Much Better’. The track has been released via Parlophone Records, which is part of Warner Music Group.
Tipped by Billboard UK as one of 2025’s 15 Rising UK and Ireland Acts to Watch, the band recently wrapped a UK headline tour with SOFY and played a standout support slot for Picture Parlour at London’s iconic 100 Club.
My First Time are also set to appear at The Great Escape, Get Together, and Wilderness Festival over the summer, with more music and live shows to be announced soon.
