Careers Week 2026: a roundup

25 March, 2026

Careers Week 2026 brought the music industry straight to our campuses.

Taking place during National Careers Week, we ran a jam-packed schedule of events at each of our seven BIMM locations.

The programme featured activities such as hands-on workshops, panel discussions, live music showcases, and one-to-one careers guidance sessions – all designed to give you a practical understanding of how the music industry really works.

Careers Week lets you hear directly from the people working across every corner of the industry. This year, we were joined by a strong list of partners:

  • BBC Introducing – BBC Radio’s platform for new, undiscovered artists
  • AWAL – global recording business that allows artists to retain ownership and control of their music
  • Sofar Sounds – event company that transforms unconventional spaces into music venues
  • TuneCore – digital music distribution, publishing, and licensing service based in NYC
  • The Great Escape – the UK’s biggest new music festival, based in Brighton
  • Creative Artists Agency (CAA) – talent agency partnering with artists like Ariana Grande, Sam Fender, and The Weeknd
  • Rocksteady Music School – providing in-school band lessons for primary school children
  • NWS Music Group – independent record label and publishing company based in London
  • RTÉ 2FM – Irish radio station

Their insight provided a deeper understanding of how the industry operates – and what it takes to build a career within it.

Careers Week is just one of the ways we connect you to the industry throughout your time at BIMM.

Thanks to everyone who took part and made it happen. We’ll see you next year.
