BIMM announce sponsorship at the Birmingham Music Awards 2018
BIMM Birmingham is pleased to announce its official partnership with the upcoming Birmingham Music Awards, which will be taking place at the Glee Club on May 2nd, 2018.
The collaboration sees our Birmingham campus acting as the official sponsor of the special category award for ‘Best Music Entrepreneur’ – which aims to recognise the stand-out efforts of any Midlands-based music business trader. All sorts of industry roles will be considered for the gong, including performers, promoters, managers, booking agents, lecturers and more.
Our Principle Antony Greaves had this to say about the partnership;
“Birmingham has a rich and diverse music culture, which must be celebrated. The Birmingham Music Awards is one example of how all the hard work can be acknowledged at a grass roots level, and we at BIMM Birmingham are very proud to support the Best Music Entrepreneur award.”
Antony has been Principle of BIMM Birmingham since it opened its doors in October of 2017. Since then, the college has integrated well within the city’s world-class music scene, having held induction events at Mama Roux’s and the Custard Factory, and hosted live gigs at renowned local venues such as the Sunflower Lounge and The Flapper.
Aside from providing education for performers, BIMM Birmingham is also investing in the local and national music industry infrastructure behind the scenes, with the upcoming ‘Best Music Entrepreneur’ award aligning perfectly with the potential career prospects of future alumni on our non-performance courses in Music Business, Event Management and Music Journalism.
The BMA’s are looking for talent that is not necessarily performance related. Are you a music entrepreneur? Do you know anyone who is displaying brilliant entrepreneurship and carving a professional career in music? If so, then the BMAs want to hear from you!
Entries/nominations are invited from Monday 26th March to Sunday 8th April via the official website.
