Steve Wrigley
Guitar, Live Performance, Academic Studies and Songwriting Lecturer *
Steve Wrigley is a highly accomplished guitarist, composer, and arranger who has been a mainstay of the Brighton music scene for many years. A core member and Musical Director of the legendary Brighton Beach Boys, he has led ambitious, award-winning productions such as Pet Sounds vs. Sergeant Pepper and the Revolver anniversary shows. Steve has taught in an abundance of situations from primary schools to prisons, masterclasses and Master's classes, including work with The Prince's Trust and The Orpheus Centre for disabled learners.
His professional career is diverse, spanning theatre, television. Steve has served as Co-composer and Musical Director for STOMP’s Lost and Found Orchestra, performing at prestigious venues like the Sydney Opera House and Royal Festival Hall. His session and arrangement portfolio includes collaborations with icons such as Chaka Khan, Chris Difford, Elastica and Bernard Purdie, as well as contributing to the Rockschool syllabus. Steve brings his real-world experience into the classroom, giving students the practical tools and versatility they need to thrive in today’s music industry.
