Galen Stapley is a high-performance guitarist and songwriter currently touring the world with the Swedish symphonic power metal giants, Twilight Force. Performing under the name Galyn, he brings a technical and high-fantasy edge to the band’s legendary live quest. This momentum continues into 2026, as Galen joins the pirate metal icons Alestorm for a major tour across Canada throughout May.
With over a decade of industry experience, Galen has established himself as a prominent figure in the UK’s progressive and metal scenes. He is a founding member of the Brighton-based prog-metal outfit Azure, contributing intricate fretwork to acclaimed releases like Fym and Of Brine and Angel’s Beaks. Beyond the stage, he is a dedicated educator with over ten years of experience as a guitar teacher. Specializing in advanced "shred" techniques and complex progressive theory, Galen bridges the gap between virtuosic performance and academic insight, providing students with the real-world perspective needed to thrive in today's industry.
