Steve McCarthy

A graduate of Birmingham City University and the London College of Music, Steve has worked in both the music and education industries as a guitarist, songwriter, performer and artist manager.
In his career to date, Steve has been involved with a number of award winning artists and gained international touring experience sharing stages with acts such as: Everything Everything, The Pigeon Detectives, Ash, These New Puritans, The Drums, Broken Social Scene, The Computers, The King Blues, Johnny Foreigner and Glasvegas among others.
A keen interest in artist development and branding, Steve has spent a large amount of his career mentoring and coaching independent artists in areas of artistic development and music business awareness. In his homeland of Guernsey, Steve pioneered the first ever popular music grade examinations on the island, which has now seen increased artistic growth in the UK through the likes of Mura Masa, Robyn Sherwell, Nessi Gomes and Of Empires among others including bands with Guernsey members such as Everything Everything, Mt. Wolf and Kylypso.
Steve holds a BMus in Popular Music Performance and an MA in Music Industries and continues to manage music artists performing at festivals such as Glastonbury, the Great Escape and SXSW amongst others.
