Graham Sowerby

Music Production and Songwriting Lecturer

Graham oversees production and songwriting lessons on both FE and HE courses at BIMM Brighton. He provides students with the technical and creative tools to produce their own songs and recordings and write and create in bespoke styles for various media, including short film, library music and co-production. His lessons cover recording technique, compositional theory, and arrangement giving students the skills to respond to a range of briefs, a vital part of today’s music industry.

Outside of BIMM, Graham has worked as a professional musician and producer for the past twenty years, seeing him touring worldwide. His music has been featured on national radio in the UK and international ad campaigns globally. As a producer, he has worked with various international arts festivals and groups, including Brighton Festival and Manchester International Festival. He has most recently worked extensively with the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra.
