The Jim Aiken Scholarship

We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Irish music promotion company, Aiken Promotions, for a brand-new scholarship: The Jim Aiken Scholarship.

Jim Aiken (1932–2007) was a pioneering force in shaping Ireland’s live music scene. As the founder of Aiken Promotions, he played a pivotal role in bringing major international acts to Irish audiences, helping to establish Ireland as a premier destination for world-class live performances. This scholarship recognises Jim’s legacy and supports new talent aiming to build a future in the live music industry.

Founded in 1962, Aiken Promotions is Ireland’s largest independent music promoter, staging everything from stadium concerts to club shows. Its festivals include All Together Now, Forbidden Fruit, Live at the Marquee, Iveagh Gardens, and In the Meadows. The company also formerly co-organised Electric Picnic.

Applicable to students starting their course in September 2025, the scholarship will provide full tuition fees for one candidate looking to study the Foundation Diploma in Music Business at BIMM Music Institute Dublin.
