Every year, we hand-pick a selection of industry giants to come and give masterclasses at BIMM. Hugely popular with our students, these sessions involve Q&A, live performances and workshops. Our students run record labels, manage live events, produce TV shows and put business plans into action.

There’s a dedicated team at each BIMM college. These teams offer tailored support on everything from CV clinics, to assisting you with work placements, to offering personal, 1-1 advice on your next career steps. Over the last academic year, the Creative Futures team provided:
- 2830 – Careers 1-1s with Careers Advisors and Industry Mentors
- 6764 – Creative Opportunities working on industry projects and productions.
- 576 – Work Placements, building skills, knowledge and networks.
- 414 Jobs – Paid employment, working directly in the Creative Industries
- 296 Industry Representation – Directly connecting graduates to performing arts agents, music managers and labels.
BIMM Handshake
At BIMM University, every campus has its own Creative Futures Team: a dedicated, on-site careers support service. These experienced careers specialists are committed to helping you navigate the creative industries, offering practical experience, networking, and work placements that can open doors and shape your future.
New for 2025, the Creative Futures careers team have an exciting new careers platform called Handshake, available for all BIMM University Students throughout your time with us and beyond. Handshake is the trusted partner of more than 1,500+ universities and gives students and graduates the opportunity to connect with more than 900,000+ employers across the globe.
BIMM University students use Handshake to contact the Creative Futures careers team, sign up for events and workshops, book careers tutorials, access resources, apply for work experience placements and jobs and of course, connect directly with employers.
