"The audition process at BIMM was both welcoming and professional. From the moment I signed up, I received clear guidance on what to prepare, and on the day, the atmosphere was supportive rather than intimidating. The assessors genuinely wanted to see me succeed, and their feedback was constructive and encouraging. It felt less like a test and more like an opportunity to showcase my passion for music. Walking out of my audition, I knew BIMM was the right place for me."

Which audition option should you choose?

BIMM offers several ways to complete your audition or portfolio review. Each option has a different feel, so here’s a quick guide to help you choose what works best for you.

If you want to get a real sense of the BIMM environment, this is the ideal choice.

You’ll visit the campus, see the facilities, and experience the atmosphere firsthand. Most sessions happen on Saturdays, with some mid-week and evening availability.

Choose this option if: you’re able to travel and want the full on-campus experience. Bursaries are available to help with travel costs.

A live audition or portfolio review held over Zoom.

No travel required — just join the session from wherever you are. We will send you a meeting link once you’ve booked.

Choose this option if: you want real-time interaction in a convenient format. Ideal for international applicants in a range of time zones.

This option lets you submit your work via email rather than attending a live session.

It gives you time to refine your tracks, recordings, or portfolio before sending them. Remote submissions are available by request, so you’ll need to email [email protected] for details.

Choose this option if: you prefer working at your own pace and submitting when your work feels ready.
