BIMM Music Institute London graduate Maella moved to the big city when she was 20 years old. Since then, she’s started producing, been played on BBC Introducing London, participated in a Spotify ad campaign in Times Square and represented the Czech Republic as one of the top 5 national finalists in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Growing up in Prague as the daughter of a local jazz musician, Maella was surrounded by music from a young age. After moving to London, Maella started to develop her production skills, which led to her refining her dark alt-pop sound.
Each of the three previous singles have been played on BBC Introducing London with Jess Iszatt. After becoming an Ambassador for Spotify Equals CZ&SK, Maella received a placement in a Spotify ad in New York City’s iconic Times Square. She started her 2023 representing the Czech Republic as one of the top 5 national finalists in the Eurovision Song Contest.
