Allying with Music Minds Matter
We are delighted to announce that BIMM Music Institute has become an ally Music Minds Matter, a charity that supports all those working in music, as part of our efforts to put positive mental health centre stage for music students across the institution.
A life in music can be immensely fulfilling and exciting and bring real highs, but the lows can create a range of stresses that can negatively impact a person’s mental health and wellbeing. We will be working closely with Music Minds Matter to ensure our students are well-equipped to manage their mental health and wellbeing during their studies. We also hope to prepare them for a life in music by ensuring that they know how to navigate the industry in ways that positively support their mental health and wellbeing.
Alongside Music Minds Matter, we will offer workshops and sessions for both students and staff, engage in awareness-raising collaborations, and develop resources specifically for BIMM students.
