Working Men’s Club sign to Heavenly

9 May, 2019

BIMM Manchester post-punk indie trio Working Men’s club reached a significant milestone in their already impressive trajectory this month, when they signed a record deal with Heavenly Recordings.

The band, who released their debut single via Melodic Records in February 2019, have now joined the ranks of Manic Street Preachers, Saint Etienne, Beth Orton, Doves and Temples, who’ve all released material through the London-based independent.

Since signing with Coda (one of Europe’s largest booking agencies), the band have supported the likes of Fat White Family, Pip Blom and the Brian Jonestown Massacre, and are gearing up for a busy summer with performances at the Great Escape Festival and a support slot with slacker pop king Mac DeMarco.

Now, with a brand new record deal under their belt, it seems 2019 is set to be an incredible year for the Songwriting Diploma graduates.

“We’ve loved Heavenly for a long long time so it feels very special to now have signed and be part of the family.”, said guitarist and front man Sydney Minsky-Sargeant.

“It means we can keep producing and releasing music which is great because people who wouldn’t of previously heard our material will now get to. Hopefully there will be an album at some point. We’re touring a hell of a lot this year so if you’re in the UK, be sure to catch us at a gig or festival near you in the next few months.”

We’re incredibly happy for Working Men’s club on this fantastic news and wish them continued success with future Heavenly releases.
