Ciaran Bradshaw Announced as BIMM Hamburg Higher Education Manager
We’re thrilled to announce that esteemed BIMM tutor, music producer and audio engineer, Ciaran Bradshaw, has been appointed as Higher Education Manager at BIMM Hamburg, relocating from BIMM Dublin where he was the Deputy Head of Education.
Ciaran has over 20 years’ experience working as a freelance audio engineer, producer, live engineer and co-writer, collaborating with many renowned producers famous for their work with global acts, such as Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys and Van Morrison. He worked with Muse on their ‘Absolution’ album, which went 3 x Platinum in the UK, reaching No. 1 on the albums chart and giving the band their first Top 10 single. In 2007, he recorded Muse’s two sold-out Wembley shows to an audience of 180,000 for the ‘HAARP’ album and DVD, which was later named the 40 greatest live album of all time by NME.
Ciaran – who was music engineer and mixer on Sing Street, with Ferdia Walsh-Peelo and Bohemian Rhapsody’s Lucy Boynton and Aiden Gillen – also worked as an additional music engineer on the Frank Sidebottom biopic Frank, starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Fassbender and Domhnall Gleeson.
Ciaran’s connection with BIMM began in 2012 when he produced the first-ever BIMM Dublin and BIMM Manchester albums. As a Course Leader, he oversaw the validation of a BA (Hons) in Music Production and has been a gifted and inspirational teacher for many years.
Ciaran believes Hamburg is the perfect place for students to start building their network: “It has a vibrant, diverse music scene with great clubs and live venues, top-class recording studios, a strong label presence, and the ever-influential Reeperbahn Festival. Students at BIMM Hamburg will hit the ground running with automatic membership of the innovative RockCity network, the great opportunities afforded through BIMM’s involvement with the Hamburg Music Business Association and, most importantly, the expert local knowledge of the great lecturers lined up to teach that special first group.”
Vaseema Hamilton, Executive Principal of BIMM Germany, says he’s definitely the right person for the job:
