BIMM Partners with Young Guns Network

3 October, 2018

BIMM are extremely proud to announce their recent partnership with the Young Guns Network, the professional networking group produced by and for young people in the music and media industries.

The company was founded by Remi Harris MBE (Remi Harris Consulting) and Sam Potts (Head of Radio Promotions, Columbia Records) in 2013 along with a team of dedicated young industry volunteers; and has produced over 30 different events to inspire and educate young professionals in the music industry and beyond.

To celebrate their 5th Birthday as well as their new partnership with BIMM, Handle Recruitment, the Musicians’ Union and PRS for Music, Young Guns Network will launch a brand new series of monthly networking events with a celebration at The Ministry private members club on Wednesday October 3rd, 2018.

Members, affiliates and BIMM students aged 18-30 are invited to network and hear details on what’s in store for these events throughout the coming year, with topics ranging from music-specific talks such as publishing, advice on career development and entrepreneurship.

Featured guest speakers will also be involved each month, giving the opportunity for our undergraduates and young music industry professionals to network and form valuable contacts. The partnership will also offer BIMM students fantastic opportunities to gain industry experience behind the scenes, as well as the chance to learn from new artists and business executives.

“BIMM are extremely happy to confirm our new partnership with the Young Guns Network (YGN), supporting their 2018/19 series of events.” Said BIMM London’s Head of Industry Liaison and Careers, Leo Nicholas.

“These expertly curated events, will not only allow our final year and graduate students the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge, but also network and develop relationships with future industry-leaders.”

Young Guns Network co-founders, Remi Harris and Sam Potts, said:

“We’re delighted that YGN, which has been a passion for everyone who has volunteered and supported the event over the last 5 years, is now able to meet the demand for a monthly event for young professionals, and we’re looking forward to the year ahead!”

Keep an eye on our news feed for updates on YGN’s upcoming music business events.
