BIMM Nominated For Whatuni Student Choice Award

28 March, 2018

Over 36,000 student votes are in for this year’s Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs), and it gives us great pleasure to reveal that BIMM has been shortlisted for the Independent Higher Education category for 2018.

These prestigious annual awards – now in their fifth year – are judged entirely by student reviews. They celebrate the outstanding contributions of colleges, institutions and lecturers across the UK, and we’re thrilled by BIMM’s inclusion for the first time.

The awards are based on averages taken from tens of thousands of reviews submitted by students and published on Whatuni.com.

BIMM is one of ten colleges shortlisted in the Independent HE category. The competition is tough, but we feel our commitment to providing hands-on industry experience and education to hundreds of students throughout our seven colleges is what sets apart from the rest.

David O’Connor, our Marketing & Admissions Director said,

“This is a fantastic achievement for BIMM as we are the only contemporary music institute nominated by students in the UK. It is also proof that our focus on employment, student support and city life is making a difference for BIMM students, as these areas have been highly rated.”

All will be decided on Thursday 19th April at the WUSCA awards ceremony in London. BIMM representatives will be there on the big night, where all eyes will be on the 43 out of 162 UK higher education institutions that have been shortlisted for an award.

Eleni Cashell, the editor of Whatuni commented, “Being nominated for an award is a huge achievement because the only judges at the WUSCAs are the students themselves. It showcases to both prospective students and the higher education sector that your institution offers value for money, provides a good student experience and has a highly satisfied and supported student community.”

The Whatuni Student Choice Awards ceremony, takes place on Thursday 19th April at The Brewery in London from 6:30 pm. You can follow the ceremony on the night via social media with the hashtag #WUSCA.
