BIMM Music Institute Freshers’ 2024
BIMM Music Institute had an absolutely jam-packed schedule for freshers’ this year, with plenty of chances to get out there, introduce yourself to other freshers and network with fellow BIMM students and soon to be besties.
From Pale Waves performances to roller skating to yoga to dog therapy, there was a freshers’ event for everyone!
BIMM Birmingham
There was so much going on at BIMM Birmingham that it was hard to choose what to talk about. Mindfulness workshop. Huge Fresher’s Fair. Free breakfast. Run n’ Rave. Yoga. Gospel choir workshop. DJ Society session. And that was just on Tuesday…
Elsewhere they had a Best of BIMM show featuring SANTÚ, Leah Wilcox and Wooden Dog. Rumour has it that there were drinks tokens included.
Another highlight had to be Friday’s Roller Disco at Roller Jam, you guys got your skates on and it was not to be missed.
BIMM Brighton
Welly, Currls and Soph played BIMM Brighton’s The Big Gig Freshers’ Week in Concorde 2, and we couldn’t wait. It was free entry for BIMM students and graduates, hosted by Gramski and they’re gave out free Greggs sausage rolls. Dreams can come true.
BIMM Brighton also hosted an escape room at Pier Pressure, where you could either solve a 60s style murder mystery to save the Brighton Pavilion or get lost in a 90s rave club.
BIMM Bristol
Everyone loves a bargain and BIMM Bristol are no exception. They put on not one, but two events on the same night. Fresh off their epic Reading and Leeds performance, CARSICK headlined the first show, with Bristol legends, Khan and Neek DJing the afterparty, alongside Bristol graduate DRONE and current students Bad B!tch Dubz. It was aboard Thekla, Bristol’s famous boat club! AHOY!
BIMM London
This one is hard to believe, but Manchester four-piece (and BIMM Manchester graduates, might we add) Pale Waves provided the soundtrack to our BIMM London freshers’ party. Current students NECKBREAKERS were on support duties with another student band opening. Bonkers!
BIMM Manchester
BIMM Manchester had a full schedule of fun for our students, starting things off at a slower pace with two yoga sessions at The Dancehouse. Leading up to two amazing shows, firstly BIMM Live: Freshers Edition at YES, featuring some outstanding talent including Mere Amore, Wavy Abyss, Oceanless and Charlesworth. Followed by BIMM Live Lates X Sting Recordings club night at Soup with the incredible Kabo Cana, Elevation DJs, Butcha Boi and One For The People. It was a lot of fun.
The BIMM Music Institute freshers’ 2024 highlights the jam-packed schedule of events across its campuses, including live performances, yoga, roller skating, escape rooms, and networking opportunities, offering something for everyone to kick off the year with excitement and connection.
