BIMM Institute Manchester student Receives DJ Mag Nomination
Wow! We’re super proud of 96 Back, one of our amazing Music Production students from BIMM Institute Manchester. He has received a coveted DJ Mag nomination as Best Breakthrough Producer.
DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards have been running since 2007. Since then, they’ve awarded some of the most talented UK producers. 96 Back will, hopefully, soon be included in that list.
96 Back has already achieved so much during his relatively short time as a producer. He’s worked with Special Request, played a Boiler Room set, and put on a successful club night at Wire in Leeds. Having already received DJ Mag’s album of the month for November 2021, we reckon that 96 Black (Evan) has a good chance at winning the category.
About the DJ Mag Best of British 2021 Awards
This year marks the 15th edition of the awards. The Best Of British awards are positioned as a counter-balance to DJ Mag’s global Top 100 DJs poll. These awards shine a spotlight on the homegrown talent that continues to place the UK scene at the forefront of electronic music.
Last year, they had to pause their usual annual physical awards show due to the impact of the pandemic — and ran a digital version of the Best of British awards. This year though, DJ Mag is returning to London’s Steel Yard on Thursday 16th December for an exceptional event.
The 22 category award ceremony celebrates all things music. It spans electronic music production, DJing, MCing, best festivals, best events, best clubs, best radio shows, and everything in between.
