Robbie Malone
Course Leader
Robbie Malone is most well known as the bass player for David Gray, although his bass-playing career began with the formation of the Irish band LiR in 1994, making two indie albums and touring the US relentlessly.
Robbie then joined the Hothouse Flowers and went on to record and tour two albums with them, supporting the Rolling Stones on a European tour.
From 1999 to the present Robbie has worked with David Gray, playing bass, acoustic guitar, double bass and bouzouki, as well as co-writing songs on the last five David Gray albums - which have sold over five million units. He’s also co-produced the last three albums; two of which have been in the Billboard Top 10 album charts in the US.
Over the course of his career, Robbie has played on many world tours, performing in well-known venues including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall and Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
