Ric Yarborough

Music Production and Performance

Ric Yarborough is a drummer, DJ, and producer from Birmingham and teaches the Production and Performance modules at BIMM. After studying at Chetham's School of Music, he graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire and has since found more ways than one to express himself through music.

He has performed at major festivals such as Boomtown, New Orleans Jazz Festival, MADE, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Nozstock, Jazz ao Largo, and Manchester Jazz Festival. Ric has played with Birmingham artists, such as Tom Ford, Reuben James, Juice Aleem, and Xhosa Cole. In doing so he has supported many prestigious artists such as Wayne Shorter, Grandmaster Flash, Arrested Development, and Jamie Cullum.

Currently, Ric plays for Big Troppy, an up-and-coming pop-punk band, and is regularly releasing under his solo house music project, Moa Bay.
