Senior Lecturer, Music Production
Neil teaches Music Production at BIMM Institute London. Prior to working for BIMM, Neil has had over 20 years’ experience in lecturing in the field of audio engineering. He has also designed Diploma courses in Post Production and Game Sound, as well as Live Sound.
Neil was one of the very first Avid Certified Pro Tools Expert Instructors in music within the EU and is also certified by Avid as an Instructor in Post Production. He was the first Sound Librarian Certified Instructor of the Official Fmod Audio Middleware Course for Game Sound in the UK.
From 2017, Neil has been based at the renowned Pierce Rooms Mastering studio. Notable career highlights include, 4 Latin Grammy Nominated Projects, 10 Premios Gardel winning Projects (The Argentinian Recording Industry Annual Awards), a Sony Radio Bronze Award winning project for “The Flight Of The Conchords BBC Radio Show” and The Progressive Music Awards LP of The Year 2017 for I am the morning's “Lighthouse”.
He has mixed, recorded or mastered projects for Disney TV, Nickelodeon TV, MTV Live Session videos for acts including The Doves, Biffy Clyro, Deftones, Hurts, Sony, Universal and the BBC, as well as many Indie artists.
From 2004-2014, he also specialised in location recordings for major artists of their live shows typically for DVD/Bluray 5.1 or web content release. Clients include TOOL, A Perfect Circle, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, Joan Armatrading, The Fun Lovin' Criminals, The Alabama Three, The Maccabees, Kasabian, The Boxer Rebellion, M83, Martha Wainwright and Friends, Down, The Bees, Turin Brakes and The Buzzcocks.
