Lulu Le Vay (DJ name: Lulu Levan) is a professional DJ, academic, lecturer, journalist and author. She was awarded her PhD in Sociology from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Her playful brand as a ‘PhDJ’ combines her worlds of music and academia, as her love of music is just as prolific as her love for writing, education and research. She has also brought musical joy and high vibes to crowds at festivals such as Citadel, Lovebox and Bestival, and has been a regular at the infamous Pikes Hotel in Ibiza. You can also find her hosting music-meets-culture shows for both Soho and Run Dem Radio. Lulu’s musical repertoire is fun, varied and eclectic, boasting disco, nu-disco, classic house, 80s electro, soul, funk, reggae, old school hip hop and R&B.
