Ed has a range of industry experience, including DJing, drumming for various artists live and in the studio, producing as a solo artist and for others, studio engineering, record distribution and label management.
His career highlights include working with artists such as Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Zara McFarlane, Nick Manasseh, Dennis Bovell, and Soothsayers. He has released original music with UK labels Tru Thoughts, Reggae Roast, Unit 137, and Born On Road and remixed for artists like Quantic, Sly 5th Ave and Dr Dre. Ed’s music has been championed regularly on the airwaves by Sir David Rodigan, Toddla T, Ras Kwame, Don Letts and Craig Charles.
Today, Ed works mainly as a freelance mix engineer and runs a private studio facility in Southeast London. Ed’s career as an educator spans almost 15 years. Having taught drums for over a decade as a peripatetic teacher in various London secondary schools, he now focuses mainly on music production in HE. Ed is studying for PGCert with an Advanced HE fellowship with BIMM Music Institute London.
