Scholarships and bursaries

BIMM Music Institute is dedicated to helping students develop their skills, talents, and self-confidence while gaining nationally recognised higher education qualifications.

Every academic year, we’re able to offer a limited number of scholarships and bursaries to talented and dedicated applicants and students who are in financial hardship.

Available Scholarships and Bursaries

The Fair Access Fund (FAF) provides financial support to undergraduate students from a variety of underrepresented groups. The FAF is designed to aid their transition to university and to improve equality of opportunity for all students.

The fund provides financial support directly to students either as a bursary, which will be paid across all years of study, or as an Access Award, which is paid once in your first year of study. These are not loans, and they do not need to be paid back.

The Universal Music UK Sound Foundation (UMUKSF) is an independent music education charity, established in 1997 to celebrate the centenary of EMI Records and now generously supported by Universal Music.

The Foundation’s mission is to improve access to music education across the UK & Ireland, helping young people pursue their passion for music, regardless of background or circumstance.

As part of this mission, UMUKSF is proud to offer a £2,200 bursary to support one undergraduate music student at each of BIMM Music Institute’s UK campuses.

This bursary is a one-time award to help ease the cost of tuition and support your journey into the music industry.
