BIMM Brighton Professional Musicianship graduate Sara Meneghini has secured herself a full-time role at BMG Publishing. The Vocals student started out doing an internship with BMG during her third year of study and has since been asked to return for a permanent position as Junior Product Manager.
The news serves as a fantastic example of how the Work Based Learning opportunities made available to BIMM students, regardless of their discipline, help open doors to promising careers behind the scenes within the music industry.
Sara explains more about her experience so far.
“I started in July 2017 as a Product Intern in the Catalogue Department and worked on projects for Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Kylie Minogue, Ken Hensley just to name a few. It’s been a very intense and exciting journey so far, and I feel like I have learnt so much thanks to the good environment I’m in at the office, where everyone is really keen on helping each other. It’s a really good company to work for and I think the best part of my job is that I get to work on real projects that we put out, and the fact that every day is different in terms of things I do.”
We wish Sara all the very best in her new role at BMG and look forward to seeing how her career path progresses.
