Did you know that you can choose to study your degree across two European BIMM colleges as part of our unique BIMM Study Exchange? You’ll be able to complete many of our undergraduate degrees courses in two different European cities by studying across two of our BIMM colleges in London, Berlin, Hamburg, Brighton, Manchester, Bristol or Birmingham. You can begin your studies in one city before transferring to another for your second year. For your final year, you can choose to stay or head back to your ‘home’ college!

BIMM Institute was granted Taught Degree Awarding Powers in the UK by an Order from the Privy Council on 14th March 2019, having demonstrated that it meets the criteria to become a ‘recognised body’ for awarding degrees in the UK. As such, BIMM Institute has overall responsibility for the academic standards and the quality of the qualifications we offer, and we are able to award our own undergraduate and Masters degrees. BIMM has also been commended by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for the quality of learning opportunities offered to students in our colleges in Brighton, Bristol, London and Manchester. Our BA (Hons) Professional Musicianship and BA (Hons) Songwriting undergraduate degree courses in Berlin and Hamburg are validated by the esteemed University of Sussex – one of the Times Higher Education’s top 150 universities in the World University Rankings 2018, and our Dublin courses are validated by the prestigious Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin).

From industry showcases and songwriting nights to acoustic events, there’s always time to get onstage at BIMM. Our Live and Lyrical nights are a great chance to show off your original material to a live audience, while Song Circles events offer singer-songwriters the possibility to showcase their tunes in an intimate environment. Each BIMM college hosts regular End-of-Term Gigs at the city’s best live venues, giving you the chance to shine in front of family, friends and industry professionals.
