Lucy Hather
Head of Student Services - BIMM Bristol
Lucy manages the Student Services team at BIMM Music Institute Bristol. The team includes Student Support Officers, a Deputy Head of Student Services, Student Counsellors, Learning Support, an Access and Participation Coordinator and a Reception team.
Lucy is an experienced arts, events and mental health manager. She previously ran large scale events and music festivals before moving into community arts, the charitable sector and mental health work, working within a cross-section of community settings from dementia groups to hospitals to prisons.
She has worked with young people for a number of years and is experienced in safeguarding, pastoral care and supporting young people to reach their potential in spite of any barriers they may face.
Lucy has been a Director and Listener at Samaritans for a number of years and manages the recruitment, training and mentoring of new volunteers. She is particularly experienced in supporting those who are emotionally vulnerable and is passionate about the Student Services team at BIMM Bristol offering the best possible care to all students throughout their higher education journey.
