Rhys Lovell

Bass Lecturer

Rhys is an exceptionally versatile electric and double bass player who has forged a career spanning everything from contemporary jazz and pop to classical and theatre. He has been an in-demand bassist for the past 15 and has toured the USA, Europe, Middle East and the UK on many occasions.

He has worked with acts as diverse as James Hunter, Chris Potter, Mc Neat and The Miserable Rich as well as recording on over 30 albums.

In 2017 he received a scholarship to study on the prestigious Royal Academy of Music MA jazz programme where he studied under Dave Holland among others.
