Paul Eades

Lecturer, Music Business *

Paul teaches Music Business at BIMM Music Institute Brighton. He specialised in corporate operations for 18 years in the UK and USA, working his way up to director within FTSE 100 multi-national data provider RELX.

In 2009 he was recruited by Grammy-award winning producer Brian Higgins to oversee back-office operations at Xenomania, where he continues to work on the management team.

Xenomania is famous for its songwriting and production work with major artists: Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Pet Shop Boys, The Saturdays, Gossip and Kaiser Chiefs. Songwriting collaborators include Wayne Hector, Tove Lo, MNEK as well as BIMM alumnus Ed Drewett. Xenomania is also a music publisher, independent label and artist management company with its own roster, and has been a Sony Music UK associate label, giving Paul direct exposure to the inner workings of a major label.

From negotiating publishing deals through to music release and promotion, Paul has enjoyed applying corporate experience to the ever-shifting challenges of the modern music industry, whether it’s clearing samples, marketing on social media to engage new fanbases, exec producing photo & video shoots, or managing tours, events and merchandise sales.
