Nick Eade

Lecturer, Event Management *

Nick has lived and worked in many varied areas of event-related employment in Sydney, Buenos Aires and Tel Aviv including playing a minor role in the 2000 Olympics in Australia. He has worked around the world with leading Professors and major industry specialists delivering seminars and working on significant projects that have increased visitor safety.

Examples include global events such as Roskilde (Denmark), EXIT (Serbia), SXSW (USA) and the 2012 Olympics in London. This past experience has given him a keen insight into event management, the complexity of the industry and the impact events can have on society.

After returning to live in the UK, Nick developed an arable farm into an events provider delivering incentive/motivation days, small conferences and weddings. He then returned to education as a mature student, achieving a HND, BA (Hons), a Master of Science (MSc) and finally a Master of Arts (MA). He's looking to undertake a PhD within the coming years.

Nick was the co-writer and Course Leader for the BA (Hons) Event Management degree at BIMM, a course which has gone from success to success, boasting approximately 100 under-graduate students across the 3 years. The course has great employment opportunities with 95%+ of graduates finding industry related work and/or further study within 6 months of leaving the course.
