Music Production Lecturer
TJ Allen teaches Music Production at BIMM Institute Bristol. He is a Bristol based recording engineer, mixer and musician with over 15 years experience in the industry.
Recent clients include Bat For Lashes, Anna Calvi, Portishead, Charlotte Hatherley, Martin Green (Lau), Laura Groves, Adrian Utley and Will Gregory; for labels including One Little Indian, Domino, Warner, Parlophone, Capitol, NAIM, Invada and Island.
Alongside his studio credits, he is also an in-demand musician, programmer and co-writer - with world tours playing guitar, bass and synths for Bat For Lashes, regular performance’s with Adrian Utley’s Guitar Orchestra, and Violaine, a new project with long-term collaborator Hazel Mills (Florence & The Machine, Goldfrapp, Birdy).
