Hannah Phipps
College Principal - BIMM Music Institute Bristol
Hannah Phipps is the College Principal of BIMM Music Institute Bristol, where she has worked in various roles since 2010. Originally a modern languages graduate, Hannah’s creative side projects eventually led her into a career in music and education. Since joining BIMM, Hannah has worked in a variety of departments, including student support, course leadership and curriculum design.
Hannah is particularly interested in the power of creative communities and spaces. She encourages students to embrace diversity of perspective and welcome creative challenge. These themes are at the heart of both the courses she’s developed and the working practices she promotes within the Bristol team.
Hannah is also a prolific songwriter and accomplished guitarist. She is currently the front person in Bristol-based band National Treasure, along with several members of the Bristol teaching faculty.
