Gerry Lewis
Course Leader, Learning & Teaching
Gerry began his career as a professional drummer, touring and releasing with numerous UK projects including slots at RTE Radio 1 and Ronnie Scots' before finding his passion as a creative educator.
Since becoming an educator, Gerry has taught across nine academic levels in a range of creative subjects: from Entry 1 English & maths to Level 7 Postgraduate critical teaching & learning theory alongside computer game design and lecturering Special and Behavioural Needs students.
He has extensive experience in curriculum design and course leadership, having managed the delivery of core subjects across four departments in an FE college before joining BIMM's PG Cert in Learning & Teaching.
Gerry has taught on the PG Cert course for four years, and now leads the course to support the personal & professional development of new educators internationally across the BIMM group. His aim is to foster love for learning and development, and to help new educators find their place and voice within an uncertain world.
