Associate Lecturer, Event concept & Design

Gemma teaches Event Management at BIMM Institute Bristol. She is one of the leading producers of food and wellbeing content for UK festivals.

Working as a Contents Producer for Bestival and Camp Bestival (2013-18), Shambala Festival (since 2015) and Port Eliot Festival (2016-18), she produced food and wellbeing areas whilst providing magical experiences under canvas at festivals UK-wide with her bell tent hire company Firefly Camping (since 2014).

She founded Bristol Wild & Well Festival in 2018, while working to promote food as a vehicle for change in Bristol as Creative Producer for BBC partnered event Bristol Food Connections (2014-19).  This led her to deliver for the BBC again, programming traders for the Radio 6 Music Festival in Bristol (2016).

With a career spanning fifteen years, she has worked in Festival Production roles across prestigious UK shows, including as a Production Assistant to the Common at Glastonbury Music Festival (2012-14), Secret Garden Party Press Office (2012), Bestival Creative Production Assistant (2011-12), and Shambala Production (2012-15).

She continues to work in Creative Production while lecturing in Event Concept & Design at BIMM.
