Carleen is a true star and has a talent, pedigree and charisma that is totally unique. She originally shot to fame as the lead singer of Young Disciples and later The Brand New Heavies.
Subsequent solo albums and collaborations with Paul Weller, Bryan Ferry and Dr. John confirmed her status as the Queen of British Soul… and with good reason – the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, was her real-life Godfather!
