Aaron Casey

Involved in the business of music since 2006, Aaron has both a practical and academic interest in the global music industry. He holds an MA in Music Business Management from the University of Westminster in London as well as years of experience working with songwriters, music publishers and collection societies in a variety of roles during his time at the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO).

As an independent music rights and royalties consultant his clientele include songwriters, artists, music publishers, record labels, management companies, non-governmental organisations, accounting firms, investment advisory firms and other specialist bodies. Aaron’s work involves identifying best practice with regards to administration in the industry, specifically regarding royalty earnings and data.

As Course Leader of the BA (Hons) in Music Business Aaron develops and maintains music industry connections and resources as well as overseeing the delivery of tuition. As Head of Music Business at BIMM Institute Dublin, he supports other staff in achieving academic excellence and industry alignment across all music business modules. As a music business tutor, he focuses on helping students navigate the world of music publishing, copyright and contracts.
